Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Product Development, the role of the Product Marketing Specialist is to bridge the gap between the product development team and the sales and marketing teams to make sure that WATERAX products are successfully marketed and sold to potential customers around the world.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Product Opportunities: Analyze product-oriented business opportunities and plan and guide subsequent marketing efforts. Prepare the product business case following approval by executive management.
  • Product Launch: Write and maintain product launch plans, work in collaboration with the Marketing team to write the marketing plan and communications plan. Working closely with customers to generate customer success stories. Working with PR to manage launch tours and product review programs.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and collect market intel to produce competitive landscape reports.
  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Determine market messages and product Messaging, including Positioning, Features & Benefits and Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and communicate them to the Marketing and Sales team.
  • Sales Tools: Create standard presentations and demo scripts. Develop sales tools: white papers, presentations, collateral, competitive analysis for external use with customers. Align sales tools and the ideal sales process to the typical buying process.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborating with sales teams to create sales materials, presentations, and demos that effectively communicate the value proposition of the products.
  • Training: Facilitate channel partner training working closely with Field Product Specialists to share products and applications knowledge.
  • Performance Tracking: Measuring and tracking the performance of the product in the market, and making recommendations for improvements and adjustments to marketing strategies.
  • Adhere to all WATERAX policies and procedures pursuant to sales administration processes and guidelines;
  • Adhere to WATERAX guidelines and policies in matters of ethics and code of conduct

Education & Experience

  • Understanding of WATERAX products, services and capabilities. Must demonstrate ability to understand our products and mechanical concepts and to successfully communicate them to customers and sales channel partners.
  • Work experience in, and technical knowledge of, WATERAX products, applications and targeted industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.

  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication abilities in English / French. Spanish is an asset;
